WHAT:
Up to 25 dogs rescued in the Bahamas and are being flown in to South Florida via a private plane to Pompano Beach Airpark by Pilot N Paws (www.pilotsnpaws.org), touching down at 3:00 p.m. Rescued from the streets, the dogs would have been euthanized if Pilots N Paws and Bahamas authorities did not step in and partner with Tri County Humane Society (www.tricountyhumane.org), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit 100% “no kill” animal rescue shelter that serves Broward, Palm Beach and Martin Counties. These dogs of various types and ages will be available for adoption beginning when TCHS opens their doors Saturday morning.

The two pilots flying this mission are Allan Weltman and David Slaick, both from Pilots N Paws, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofitorganization whose mission, like TCHS, is to save the lives of innocent animals. The plane for this rescue was donated by Sam Jacobs.
