BOCA RATON, Fla (February 1, 2016) For its ‘paw-erful’ success, Kaye Communications, Inc. (KCOM-PR) was presented a 2016 Bernays Award for PR & Marketing Excellence, the ‘seriously strategic’ PR & Marketing firm’s fourth Bernays recognition by the Gold Coast PR Council (GCPRC). Its ‘Paws Up’ For Excellence

KCOM-PR conceived, developed, produced and marketed the free and open-to-the-public inaugural Great Doggie Dine-Out & Paws Fest (GDD&PF) to raise awareness, community engagement, animal rescue and adoptions and medical care funds to benefit Tri-County Animal Rescue (TCAR). Held in Downtown Boca at Sanborn Square, the first-time-ever ‘peeps and their pups’ event served as community education and engagement springboard from which TCAR could garner new relationships and revitalize past relationships, increase news media interest and coverage, social media and meaningful community-centric story-telling of TCAR’s features, advantages and benefits. The fun, casual and ‘very social’ event resulted in a groundswell of new and renewed relationships for TCAR among a cross-section of targeted niche audiences, influencers, recommenders including civic leaders, businesses, area residents, pet lovers and vendors and significant gain in media coverage, social media, donations and adoptions.Doggie Ball

GDD&PF presented plenty for fun for two and four-legged family members to enjoy together, including opening ceremonies with official GDD&PF t-shirts featuring original ‘Paws On The Heart’ art by local artist Sal Principe and worn by City VIPs, TCAR leadership, sponsors and volunteers; a TCAR pup alumni parade; fur-baby couture fashion show; community painting of a ‘Great Paws” mural painting that was later put on display at TCAR entrance; yoga with dogs; 3-Minute ‘Mingles With Dogs’; a ‘Smooch Your Pooch’ kissing booth and ‘Selfie Central’ with seven dog adoption-branded photo frames. There was also a ‘Peeps & Pups’ rest area, pup art/games, food trucks/‘hot dog’ bar and a finale movie-in-the-park: Hotel For Dogs. Showcases included the Great Pet Bed Design Competition/‘People’s Choice’ voting, ‘Tails & Tales’ Adoption Center and exhibitors that included sponsors, partners, pet vendors.

“As avid advocates of ‘adopt, not shop’ our whole team at Kaye Communications has ‘paws on our hearts’ and were all in to make this community event ‘dog-gone’ great and meaning-full,” said KCOM-PR President & Chief Strategist Bonnie S. Kaye who added that the event was implemented as a ‘pro bono’ giveback value-add to client contract with event production funds underwritten by sponsors and partners so that no TCAR general operations funds were required.

To build excitement, media coverage, social and community echo for the GDD&PF, the campaign countdown included logo creation and full graphic design components, brand messaging, news media outreach and interviews, viral social media initiatives, e-blasts and more. In addition, KCOM-PR created and implemented the Inaugural Great Pet Bed Design Competition sponsored by Sklar Furnishings that culminated in an in-showroom reception to debut entries to be on display at GDD&PF and later sold at TCAR’s Annual Doggie Ball auction.
