About Me
A Native New Yorker born in Brooklyn and raised in Long Island and Queens, I have lived in South Florida for 26 years and am married to my best friend Bonnie Kaye with whom this year we celebrate our 20/30; 20 years in business together and 30 years of marriage, parenting and exploring life’s adventures. I’m a proud dad of two sons Matthew, age 24 and Mike, age 28 who gave us a wonderful daughter when he married Ariel, age 28, last year. Our family is complete with three wonderful rescue pups, Bichon Poo Shana, Ridgeback/Lab mix Joyce and a very feisty and incredulous “alpha male” Jack Russell granddog Yorick.
Bonnie and I are passionate about being ‘good deed doers’, mostly championing causes that rally for ‘understanding and acceptance’ and ‘building a healthy community’. These include helping to raise the volume to break the ‘deafening’ silence on mental illness, using the lessons learned from Holocaust to halt bullying or bigotry of any kind, annually embracing and supporting the incoming students to the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at FAU, advocating for animal rescue and health and wellness initiatives for the community. Demonstrating ‘Service Above Self’ I am proud to be a charter member, immediate past president of Rotary Club of Downtown Boca Raton (2015 District 6930 Club of the Year) and co-chair of the Club’s inaugural and second annual Boca Raton Mayors Balls, with proceeds benefiting the health and wellness needs of Boca nonprofits. I am pleased to have had the privilege of serving as a founding member of the dean’s advisory board of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University for three years, and with Bonnie created and co-chaired White Coats-4-Care ‘fan and fund’ raising receptions we host annually to welcome and ‘dress and equip’ the incoming.
One of my proudest moments: When Bonnie and I were presented the coveted 2013 Florida Atlantic University Trustees Appreciation Award for our full embrace of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine “in the most meaningful of ways, using their influence as opinion leaders to rally support for it in the community.”

Why I am Involved
Two of my maternal aunts were breast cancer survivors as well as my half sister. Bonnie and I have both lost childhood friends to this dreaded disease who fought valiantly, yet alluded permanent remission, while others we love and cherish are survivors or living under a threatening cloud of family history predisposition.
Why I Support the American Cancer Society
I want to be part of the solution— so that I‘ll see a cure and or substantial preventive therapy in my lifetime. I am wearing pink to celebrate the courage of our ‘dearest’ cancer warriors and survivors; Laurel Borowick, Howie Borowick, Jon Henning, Sally Davis, Maxine Hakimi, Carole Samet, Tracey Stein, Eleanor Forgacs, Jill Wishney, Cindy Welsh Colangelo, Roxanna J Trinka, Robin Atkins Smollar, Pam Higer Polani and those who are privately battling or survived this disease.
My Progress
Thank you to my supporters!
